Testicular Conditions

Testicular / Scrotal Conditions

Men commonly have concerns or anxieties in these areas especially when it comes to ‘lumps’ or swellings that have appeared or testicular pain. In the vast majority of cases these are not dangerous conditions but testicular tumours need excluding.

Assessment

This can usually be achieved in a single consultation and examination with one of our consultants, occasionally blood tests are requested and for further reassurance an ultrasound scan can be arranged.

Conditions

Common conditions that we see include hydrocoele, epidydymal cysts and epididymo-orchitis. Testicular cancer is much less prevalent. Frequent scrotal problems include varicocoele, sebaceous cysts or pigmented skin areas.
